Branson Resorts-South Shore are situated in the southern part of the gold area on our
area map,
on the south shores of Table Rock Lake. The area can be accessed off of Hwy 65 by traveling west on Hwy 86 crossing the bridge over Table Rock Lake to the western and southern shores. Another primary route into the area is Hwy 13 south across the Kimberling City Bridge.
This is a large region and somewhat secluded from the activities of the Branson area, yet is within a 30 to 40 minute drive of most everything Branson has to offer. There are few resorts in the South Shore section considering the size, so it is a wonderful place for fishermen or those wanting the quiet solitude of the Ozark Mountains.
Resorts in the Hwy H area-The following resorts are in an area west of Hwy 13 about 5 miles south of Kimberling City with a mailing address of Lampe, MO. Lampe is a small community on Hwy 13 near Hwy H.

Besides being a good location for a quiet vacation on the lake, Branson Resorts-South Shore are perfect bases for road trips or day trips around the Ozark Mountains. Hwy 86 will take you toward two other favorite spots in the Ozarks, Eureka Springs, AR and Roaring River State Park, MO.
Following hwy 86 West to Hwy 23 then south into Eureka Springs is a lovely trip and Eureka Springs is a quaint little town built into the mountains of the Ozarks. This is a destination itself, but it makes a nice day trip for shopping and seeing the scenery.
Taking Hwy 86 a little further will take you to Hwy F and Roaring River State Park. If you like trout fishing, hiking or if you brought some bikes this is a great place to spend a day. Either trip is about an hour's drive each way.
When you arrive back from your road trip you can have a quiet evening and ready yourself for a day of fishing or one spent among the many Branson attractions. The Branson Resorts-South Shore really do provide a unique change to your Branson vacation.

Blue Eye, MO, population 129 (2000 census) is right on the Arkansas border. Take a step across the line and you will be in Blue Eye, AR population 36 (2000 census). The rural area covered by the Post office is fairly large and takes in a lot of the lake area on the south shore.
The Post office was established in 1870 and named Blue Eye after Elbert N. Butler, a dark-haired, blue-eyed Civil War veteran who was the first postmaster.
